Listone Giordano flooring system is a multi layer
engineered board.
The mechanical behaviour
of a multi layered floor is clearly recognisable: The top layers
tends to move one way with the support layer resisting it in
the opposite direction.
Most collections
have a top layer of hardwood floor of 5mm, and Birch plywood is used
for the back. Birch is also used in the aeronautical industry , due
to it's stability.
Our flooring system
has to be installed fully adhered to the sub floor.
Varnishing: Eight
layers of UV acrylic lacquer is applied to protect to the floor
thought the years. This lacquer is ecological and non-toxic,
Transversal incisions: The incisions on the
support base makes it possible to improve the flexibility of the
product. The product will adapt itself to the sub floor, covering
small irregularities of the sub floor.
Precision: The milling is carried out on all sides of each strip
with diamond cutting tools. This ensures a perfect cut floor.
Quarter saw: This particular technique reduces
the natural inclination of the wood to change shape by up to 50%.
This also makes it possible to obtain mostly straight grain strips.
